Sonshine Camp For 1st & 2nd Graders
2013 Theme:
Camp Code: 1210 Campers: $ Shepherds: $
Early Bird:!
Never been to camp before? This is a great place for early elementary kids
to start – a 24-hour, one-night experience that provides a taste of all the
fun of swimming, hiking, crafts, and active learning sessions under the
careful and watchful eye of shepherds they know from their own church. All
activities and worship experiences are geared for this special age-level to
make camp something they want to do again and again.
Attention Adults: One shepherd for every one-to-five campers from each
church is REQUIRED! Men must be prepared to come with boy campers.
Each adult must register in advance and submit to the full safety screening
of the conference before being accepted as a Shepherd.
Contact Becky Price if you want to attend as a Shepherd.
Growin' in Grace Camp For 3rd-5th Graders
2013 Theme:
Camp Code: 1203 Campers: $
Early Bird: $
Are your kids ready for some fun in the sun? Well, help them grab some
friends, throw a swim suit in a bag, and let’s go to camp! Over three days
and two nights campers will experience the best nature has to offer in one
of our three campsites – an awesome red rock canyon, a placid lake side
point, or a serene tree-studded valley. In addition to the traditional hikes,
swimming, and crafts of camp, campers will experience interactive learning
sessions and participative worship. During this camp, in cabins and small
groups, kids are encouraged to start building relationships with adults and
children from other churches that will last through adolescence – so get
ready for some new friends as well as a good time!
Joy Camp For 3rd-5th Graders
2012 Theme:
Camp Code: 1207 Campers: $
Early Bird: $
The JOYful noise of music, the enJOYment of active learning, expressions of
JOY on children’s faces – these are the JOYs of JOY Camp! If your kids have
a real creative streak and a desire to try out new things, this may be the
summer camp they need to attend. In this model of camp, campers choose
creative arts and movement classes they want to attend. Although choices vary
from camp to camp, they all focus on ways the church uses the arts in worship –
vocal music, instrumental music, drama, the written word, dance/movement,
visual art, verbal expression, etc. The campers will help lead worship
throughout the weekend using the new skills they have learned.
T'weens Discover Camp! For 6th Graders
2013 Theme: Finding God in the Everyday
Camp Code: 2202 Campers: $
Early Bird: $
Acknowledging the uniqueness of pre-teens, this special camp for rising
sixth graders is designed to help “t’weeners” explore the concept that
God is always with us. Using the natural settings of our campsites, a
variety of group experiences, Scripture, and stories from the life of
St. Francis, campers are challenged to seek and find God in the natural
world around them, in other campers and the community they form, and
within themselves. This is a week where campers, in the company of a
partner from their own church (when possible), will expand their world
by interacting in cabins and small groups with adults and peers from
churches across the state.
All of these camps take place at beautiful Camp Egan, near Tahlequah, OK.
